Reviews and Ratings
The hotel was in a shocking state for a five-star hotel. The rooms were ancient and not ready until after 3 pm, and the international newspaper we ordered never arrived. However, the room was spotlessly clean in every way.
The hotel's location is superb, close to Place Bellecour and the heart of the shopping center, offering easy access for exploration. The rooms, unfortunately, fall below standards with shabby furniture and a claustrophobic layout, making the stay less comfortable. Despite this, the extremely helpful and professional service provided by concierge staff stands out, enhancing the overall experience. Dining, with a beautiful view from the 8th floor, was average, although the buffet was overpriced. The facilities are decent, catering to basic needs, but not exceptional.
I had a mixed experience at the hotel. The spacious junior suite with river views on a high floor was fantastic, but the noise from the kitchen area late in the evening was a bit disruptive. The staff were extremely kind and helpful, making my stay more enjoyable.
The hotel offers spacious rooms with good amenities but might experience noise from the kitchen area in the evening. The service is excellent with knowledgeable staff. Its central location in Lyon provides easy access to various attractions, although it is a bit distant from the old town. The dining experience boasts stunning city and river views. The facilities are well-maintained, catering to guests' needs.
The hotel is in a good location, perfect for shopping and sightseeing. The rooms are small and need updating, with a lingering sewage smell. The service is welcoming and professional, even during busy times. The dining experience has room for improvement. Overall, a decent stay with some drawbacks.
My stay at Sofitel in Lyon was fantastic. The rooms offered impeccable views of the city, Notre Dame basilica, and the river, making it ideal for a short visit. The attention to detail in the room amenities was outstanding, even surpassing my expectations for a 5-star hotel.
The hotel is ideally located on the riverside, close to major attractions, perfect for exploring the city. The rooms, although slightly old, were very clean, spacious, and comfortable. The service was excellent, with courteous and helpful staff. The dining was on the expensive side, but with a great view of the city. Overall, a well-located hotel with clean rooms and great service.
I had a mixed experience at the hotel. The rooms, although a bit tired at first, turned out to be very nice, albeit on the smaller side. However, after bringing up my concerns, I was graciously upgraded to one of the newly refurbished rooms, which was fantastic!
Upon checking in, I found the rooms to be quite shabby and in need of renovation, although they were clean and well-equipped. The service at the rooftop bar was exceptional, with staff being professional and friendly. The location is convenient with easy access to the old town, but some areas are overdue for refurbishment. The dining experience offered a great view from the top of the building, but the buffet was pricey. Overall, good value for the money.
